Eduard Folayang's Next Fight Will Be Against Adrian Pang Of Australia In Macau, China

Eduard Folayang, the poster boy of Philippine MMA, is returning to the ring this coming 13th of August when ONE Championship stages Heroes of the World at the Cotai Arena in Macau, China. The 32-year-old Igorot mixed martial arts fighter will be facing Adrian Pang, an older but much more experienced fighter from Queensland, Australia. The tussle between the two standout fighters will be in the undercard of a flyweight encounter between Brazil's Adriano Moraes and United States's Andrew Leone.

Just a few months ago, rumors circulated that Folayang's contract with ONE Championship has already expired and that the Cordilleran fighter is mulling over his options. The fighter also campaigned through social media for a chance to fight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship when the U.S.-based promotional company announced that it will be staging another event in Manila this coming October. It's still unknown if the UFc ever extended an offer to Folayang. For years, MMA fans have been clamoring for Folayang to try his luck in the UFC.

For now, fight fans can set aside their hopes that Folayang will ever set foot on the UFC octagon. For the next two years at least. It has been confirmed that Folayang just signed a new contract with ONE Championship that will extend for the next two years. His upcoming fight with Pang will be his first fight under the new contract.
