Donald Cerrone Vs. Justin Gaethje To Headline UFC Vancouver In September

The speculations are finally over. Several hours ago, Donald Cerrone teased on Instagram that he has a fight coming up and that fans of the game should be really excited about it. However, he didn't reveal who this opponent is. The name of his opponent was eventually revealed in a news report for Yahoo by the MMA journalist Kevin Iole.

According to Iole, no other than UFC president Dana White himself who confirmed that Cerrone will be locking horns with Justin Gaethje on the main event of UFC Fight Night Vancouver on September 14.

"Get ready, Vancouver. This fight is going to be ridiculous," says White of the main event. Regardless of the outcome, fans of the sport will surely see fireworks in this matchup come fight night.

Cerrone is coming off a loss. He was TKOed by Tony Ferguson last June. Prior to the Ferguson loss, Cerrone was on a three-fight winning streak. Gaethje, on the other hand, is 2-2 in his last four fights. He's currently on a two-fight winning streak against James Vick and Edson Barboza.

Also penciled to fight in Vancouver are Misha Cirkunov and Jim Crute, Marcin Tybura and Augusto Sakai, David Branch and Andrew Sanchez, Uriah Hall and Antonio Carlos Jr., Glover Teixeira and Nikita Krylov, and Todd Duffee and Jeff Hughes.
