DepEd Advisory on Virtual Climate Science Youth Camp

The Department of Science and Technology through the Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI), in cooperation with the Marine Science Institute of the University of the Philippines (UP-MSI), will be conducting a Virtual Climate Science Youth Camp (VCSYC) from November 8 to 12, 2021.

This year’s theme, “Finding Career Path Through Research,” will showcase potential careers in the field of Marine Science through the UP-MSI’s research project on harmful algal blooms (HABs).

Invited participants are public high school students composed of three students and one science teacher per school from the following pre-selected schools:

1. Batasan Hills National High School
2. Caloocan National Science and Technology High School
3. Doña Rosario High School
4. Tandang Sora National High School
5. Culiat High School
6. Pitogo High School
7. Rizal High School
8. San Francisco High School
9. Sen. Renato “Compañero” Cayetano Memorial Science and Technology High School
10. Valenzuela School of Math and Science
11. San Matias National High School
12. Sto.Tomas National High School
13. Malhacan National Hitgh School
14. Meycauayan National High School
15. Meycauayan National High School-Annex
16. Angono National High School
17. Cardona National High School
18. Morong National High School
19. Rizal Science High School
20. Tanay National High School

In the event that the pre-selected schools cannot submit the names of the participants, the DOST-SEI will invite an alternative school from same region/s. All expenses relative to the conduct of the said science camp shall be borne by DOST-SEI.
